David joined Ascension Health and the Healthcare That Works Research and Development Team in November 2003. His primary responsibilities include Health Ministry consulting, project development and facilitating programs on important topics such as emotional intelligence and communication in support of the patient experience.
Prior to joining Ascension Health, he spent seven years with St. Louis Children’s Hospital, initially as a planning consultant, then as manager of Community Outreach, where he was responsible for overseeing the development of community programs and the management of program staff.
David joined St. Louis Children’s Hospital to complete an administrative fellowship after earning his Master of Arts in Hospital and Health Administration (MHA) at the University of Iowa, Iowa City. He also has a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in business from Valparaiso University, Valparaiso, Ind., a Master of Arts in Healthcare Mission from Aquinas Institute of Theology, St. Louis, and is board certified in healthcare management in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
