.Net Web Developer

Ascension Information Services (AIS) is seeking a .Net Web Developer on our Web Services Team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing .Net/SQL and DotNetNuke based web applications for Ascension Health Ministries. The candidate must have strong communication, customer service, and analytical skills and be able to balance multiple projects and priorities.

 

This position is with AIS and can be located either in Evansville, IN, Nashville, TN or Birmingham, AL.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively interact with client and technical management for new opportunities as well as service issues.
  • Gather information from existing systems, analyze program requirements and assist project manager in preparing time estimates.
  • Design systems and programs to meet business needs. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Ensure programs meet standards and technical specifications.
  • Code, test, debug, implement, and document simple to moderately complex programs.
  • Assist support and/or project personnel in resolving simple to moderately complex program problems.
  • Develop and execute test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.
  • Assist in team building and improving processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years application development experience
  • Minimum 2 years .Net framework development using Visual Studio.Net (C# or VB.Net)
  • Minimum 2 years SQL Server programming using version 2005 or later
  • Minimum 1 years experience with any of the following: DotNetNuke, SSIS, SSRS, JavaScript,  AJAX, VB Script, XML, MVC, TFS, SharePoint  (these are desirable, but not mandatory)

As our Director of Information Systems, you’ll lead one of our information systems teams by helping to ensure our clinical operations are second to none. Responsibilities

The Director of Information Systems will:

  • Work with Senior leadership to develop short and long-term vision and strategic plans in alignment with and support for the health system’s strategies and goals.
  • Ensure the team & processes are in place to effectively support the clinical applications across a 5 hospital system.
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement of the clinical applications operations.  Work with local leadership to develop business cases that help justify and prioritize initiatives while adhering to overall mission and plan.
  • Define requirements, goals & objectives, critical success factors, project barriers, resources etc. with the ultimate goal of delivering the correct solution. 
  • Be accountable for providing senior level technical direction and oversight to application teams during complete life cycle development of projects to ensure the delivery of applications that meet and exceed the accepted industry benchmarks for software quality.

Imaging Informatics Team Lead-Nashville

Ascension Information Services (AIS) is seeking a professional skilled in the field of Imaging Informatics to lead the Imaging Informatics Team.  This position is responsible for oversight of the day-to-day operation of Imaging Informatics systems and equipment including, but not limited to: image workflow, archiving, auto-routing, prefetching, file system checking, fail-over management, disaster recovery, dictation and transcription systems integration, and other activities related to the end-to-end clinical and technical operation of the medical imaging chain.

 

The primary location for this position is St. Thomas Health in Nashville, TN however position will require travel between this facility and facility in Murfreesboro, TN

Responsibilities

In addition to other tasks, the Team Lead - Imaging Informatics will have the primary responsibility to: 

  • Coordinate Imaging Informatics Analysts' work schedules and PTO
  • Possess a solid working knowledge of campus-specific Imaging Informatics environments.
  • Communicate with St. Thomas Health (STHe), AIS, the medical imaging vendors, and the Clinical Imaging Program (CIP) leadership with regards to Imaging Informatics issues will be a vital part of this job.
  • Host monthly Imaging   Informatics Analysts' meetings for issue resolution and status reporting
  • Escalate service request tickets through AIS and vendor help desks
  • Oversee new modality installs, application configurations, and storage consumption  monitoring
  • Serve as system architect for new system deployments throughout the enterprise
  • Act as Project Manager for system upgrades and new system installations
  • Oversee Change Control Process for hardware and application code, including patches and service packs, with the vendors and end-users
  • Handle community physician relations with regards to Imaging Informatics systems
  • Track and communicate requested software enhancements with the imaging vendors
  • Collect, catalog, and maintain Imaging Informatics policies and procedures
