.Net Web Developer

Ascension Information Services (AIS) is seeking a .Net Web Developer on our Web Services Team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing .Net/SQL and DotNetNuke based web applications for Ascension Health Ministries. The candidate must have strong communication, customer service, and analytical skills and be able to balance multiple projects and priorities.

 

This position is with AIS and can be located either in Evansville, IN, Nashville, TN or Birmingham, AL.

Responsibilities

  • Effectively interact with client and technical management for new opportunities as well as service issues.
  • Gather information from existing systems, analyze program requirements and assist project manager in preparing time estimates.
  • Design systems and programs to meet business needs. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs are developed and coded. Ensure programs meet standards and technical specifications.
  • Code, test, debug, implement, and document simple to moderately complex programs.
  • Assist support and/or project personnel in resolving simple to moderately complex program problems.
  • Develop and execute test plans to verify logic of new or modified programs.
  • Conduct quality assurance activities such as peer reviews.
  • Assist in team building and improving processes.

Critical Product Manager - Nashville (St. Thomas Hospital)

The Critical Product Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, maintaining, and evaluating identified critical high volume supplies used within critical supply areas including but not limited to the OR, Cath Lab, GI Lab, and Radiology. Communicates with vendors to expedite transactions, product implementation and cost analysis. Coordinates the supply aspect of critical supply areas in a cost-effective manner while delivering quality service to the customer.

Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively with supply chain to ensure alignment and achievement of hospital and Ascension Health goals.
  • Liaison between clinically critical items and resource and supply management group.
  • Responsible for appropriate procurement and use of critical high volume supplies and equipment based on Decision Team and financial analyses within the critical supply area.
  • Facilitates Decision Teams with physicians and clinicians to ensure optimal clinical and cost benefit decision-making especially for the high value physician preference supplies.
  • Coordinates trials and introduction of new supplies with the OR staff and physicians.
  • Assists with coordinating in-services with the staff in the critical supply areas. 
  • Leads cost reduction strategies with the critical supply areas that engage physicians, clinicians, and administration.
  • Collaborates with Nurses and Physicians, Supply Chain, and other hospital departments as needed. 
  • Reviews departmental need for supplies, advances in technology, and input from physicians and other clinical staff; makes recommendations and offers possible alternatives.
  • Justifies variances and monitors compliance to establish inventory control standards in coordination with inventory suppliers.
  • Collaborates with the financial services division staff to maintain compliance integrity and fiscal accountability for critical supply products.
  • Monitors the vendor credentialing program for the critical supply areas.
  • Demonstrates quality improvement, analytical, and implementation skills with regard to clinical process.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing and be able to articulate the opportunities and challenges involved in supply acquisition, introduction, and implementation.

Qualifications

  • This position requires 3 to 5 years of Operating Room Nursing or certified Surgical Technician experience, demonstrated analytical experience, and inventory control or purchasing experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in related field from four year college or university is required; Bachelor’sdegree in business or nursing-related field preferred.
  • Licensure as RN, Certified Materials and Resources Professional (CMRP), Certified Materials Professional (CMP) or Certified Materials Manager credentials preferred.

Data Steward - Nashville

The Data Steward will strategically and tactically manage business data related to an assigned functional area (e.g. Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, etc.) within a Health Ministry while ensuring high levels of data quality, availability and privacy. This individual will be responsible for monitoring adherence to governance  policies, procedures and processes, establishing consistent understanding of data definitions, and monitoring/auditing the overall data quality within their Health Ministry.


The Data Steward champions Master Data Management focusing on business benefits, fostering the goal of data re-use, and articulates the strategic significance of consistent, accurate and reliable information to executives and associates.


The Data Steward will partner with the System Office (SO) Master Data Management Governance Team and the Ministry Service Center (MSC) Master Data Services (MDS) Team to strengthen data management practices at his/her Health Ministry leading to quality enterprise master data for SO cost accounting, reporting and corporate business analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors overall data quality for assigned data elements.
  • Ensures the appropriateness of their Health Ministry’s requests; researches whether element already exists to meet the requirements of the request; internally vets requests cross functionally with their Health Ministry prior to submission.
  • Acts as a “gatekeeper” for their Health Ministry to ensure all information required is gathered, accurate and complete prior to submitting the request to the MSC MDS team.
  • Serves as liasion for/to their Health Ministry for the Master Data Management Governance Team and/or the MSC MDS team.
  • Supports Symphony program delivery and the Master Data Management Governance Team in their efforts to define, adopt, and execute data management processes
  • Identifies and reports data quality issues, related to uniqueness, integrity, accuracy, consistency, and completeness in a timely fashion. Collaborates with Master Data Management Governance and MSC MDS team to manage and resolve identified data quality issues
  • Participates in regularly scheduled and ad hoc Data Steward meetings, forums, work groups, and educational sessions
  • Participates in training and meetings to facilitate the sharing of data across functional areas and understanding of stewardship best practices
  • Monitors use of the MDM Hub by their Health Ministry stakeholder to maintain local codes relating them to PeopleSoft codes using the Symphony Crosswalk Lists
  • Communicates Master Data Management process, practices and expectations to their Health Ministry stakeholders
  • Maintains the local data needed to ensure the accuracy of the procure‐to‐pay process
    • Performing maintenance (add, changes, inactivates) of items, vendors and contracts in the legacy purchasing systems, legacy accounts payable systems, as well as in PeopleSoft in accordance with Data Governance Standards.  Obtaining from the CRO and maintain documentation of approvals for each maintenance request.
    • Ensuring that all legacy values  to PeopleSoft value Crosswalks are maintained daily in the MDM Crosswalk for SCM data values
    • Responding to all requests of the MSC for data verification prior to changes being made in the item, vendor or contract masters by the MSC team (e.g., item additions, contract changes, pricing verifications, and issue resolution). This is in accordance with the procure‐to‐pay governance model.
    • Engaging with local staff to resolve all AP Vendor accounts payable issues.
    • Monitoring proactively via reports and analysis to ensure the local values and Peoplesoft values are synchronized
  • Maintains other SCM Master Data (e.g. locations, POBUs, INVBUs) to ensure proper reporting in financial reports and the MIC.  Obtains from the CRO and maintain documentation of approvals for each maintenance request.
  • Maintains the linkage of SCM to Revenue Cycle
    • Engaging with the local chargemaster teams and clinical department leaders to ensure that the actual acquisition cost is being captured and charged for each chargeable supply by ensuring the alignment/mapping of an item number with a CDM number at the discrete level (specific to mfg, mfg catalog number)
    • Ensuring that maintenance is requested and received to allow for appropriate charges to be entered before the patient bill is issued (e.g. 3 days).
  • Provides subject matter expertise to the Data Governance Council
    • To develop the Data Standards and Rules for SCM Master Data
    • To determine appropriate data values (e.g. Standard UOM) when conflict arises

Site Director, Operations and Change Management

The Site Director, Operations and Change Management leads and implements the span of operations, logistics, change management, contract implementation, and supply expense management associated with the resource and supply management  function for the purpose of achieving the objectives set forth by The Resource Group and Nashville General Hospital.  The Site Director is responsible for leading and supporting the delivery of The Resource Group’s Accelerated Realization Model to ensure that Nashville General Hospital is provided with consistent, high quality, and cost-effective operations with respect to contract conversion, procurement, inventory management, logistics, operations, and supply distribution functions.

 

Additionally, the Site Director coordinates with The Resource Group and Nashville General Leadership to implement and monitor goals, policies, and procedures as well assists in the preparation of long and short-term supply expense goals and financial metrics.

Responsibilities

  1. Leads the Deliver phase of The Resource Group’s Develop, Deploy, DeliverModel
    1. Coordinates with the Solution Integration & Acceleration team to transition and lead ongoing contract conversions and implementation of initiatives based on The Resource Group’s Accelerated Realization Model
    2. Engages end-users (e.g. physicians, clinicians, leaders, and professors) in change management efforts as well as coordinates and facilitates participation and representation in national Decision Teams and Affinity Groups

    4. Engages end-users to identify the required product or service attributes in preparation for contracting efforts

  2. Manages the operational functions, specifically focused on the following:
    1. Introduces, implements, and manages compliance with The Resource Group’s operational processes and initiatives.
    2. Implements logistical strategies, including non-acute (medical/surgical and pharmaceuticals), small parcel, and acute care (medical/surgical and pharmaceuticals, courier services)
    3. Monitors and reports monthly on operational progress using The Resource Group’s and Nashville General Hospital’s metrics.
    4. Provides for minimal inventory levels while maintaining maximum scope of product category inclusion.  Ensures that asset levels are monitored, measured, and reported annually.
    5. Manages all supply management processes throughout the facilities, ensuring consistent provision of inventory to clinical and academic departments, with agreed upon levels of supply inventories and that all products are of acceptable quality.
    6. Manages operational performance and maintains adherence to established budget guidelines for respective departments.
    7. Directs support managers and oversees the professional growth and development of all direct reports. Actively manages staff personnel and assures that each is treated with respect and fairness and that each is provided with tools and knowledge to perform their duties.
    8. Serves as a facilitator of local Decision Teams and/or other committees as required.  Assist all customers in obtaining supplier, product and pricing information. 
    9. Develops and administers capital, salary and non-salary budgets for assigned areas.  Maintains account within or below budgets.  Monitors work processes and initiates improvement based upon data measures and continuous improvement.  
  3. Exercises responsible stewardship of finance and human resources.
    1. Acts as a supporting resource to Finance for all supply, service, and capital expense related needs.

Qualifications

Education:  

  • A Baccalaureate degree is required.
  • Master’s degree in business, business administration, health administration, marketing, engineering, or related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • Eight to ten years of experience in healthcare consulting, operations, or related function required. 
  • Supervisory experience required; minimum of 5 years preferred
  • Supply chain legacy operating system experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of The Joint Commission (TJC), Occupation Health and Safety Association (OSHA) and Department of Health guidelines and regulations are extremely important.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to collaborate effectively with diverse audiences is essential.
  • Certification with ISM, APICS, Healthcare Resource Management, CPM, or CPIM a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and process improvement skills.
  • Familiarity with computers, purchasing, inventory and distribution systems is essential.

Technical Manager - Nashville

 

Ascension Information Services (AIS) is seeking a Technical Manager.  You will be responsible for the day to day management of the Nashville server team and the local server infrastructure.  This includes approval authority for most activities, coordination with managers in other domains, and budgeting activities and working with Senior Leadership.  This includes alignment with the national service line and leadership

 

The Technical Manager has demonstrated technical expertise, a record of successful projects and satisfied clients, an ability to understand and articulate customer needs, and a history of taking initiative.

 

This position is with AIS and will be based in Nashville, TN

Responsibilities

The Technical Manager will:

  • Participate in high level meetings obtaining scope of projects and work with team to ensure the project utilizes company standards and only deviate with documented exceptions.
  • Develop Citrix budget and work with management on overall service line budget.
  • Oversee the mid-range system maintenance of patches and developing strategies.
  • Prioritize and manage resource allocations.
  • Develop/Present data/presentations for leadership.
  • Maintain warranty and/ or support contract documentation for hardware and software components.
  • Develop, manage and help evaluate RFx’s (RFI, RFP, etc).
  • Manage and oversee third party performance, where such third party is providing warranty services, including requesting service and support when needed and monitoring performance and completion.
  • Approve changes to improve the support process.
  • Approve modifications to improve performance.           
  • Approve configuration changes.           
  • Manage staff to ensure Audits are performed in a timely fashion.
  • Audit existing hardware, firmware, and software for standards conformance.
  • Maintain an extremely high level of accuracy with asset management of the mid-range platform related assets.
  • May act as a project manager on assigned projects
