Chris Palombo

Chris Palombo serves as Project Manager, Access Leadership for Ascension Health.

Chris joined Ascension Health's Access Leadership team in March 2006. His primary responsibilities include: 1) serving as a leadership and program development resource for Ascension Health’s partner community healthcare collaboratives; 2) providing research support related to healthcare policy, structure and financing; and 3) providing System Office facilitation support for national events that promote advocacy and awareness of healthcare access issues.

Chris is the former Executive Director of the Medical Care Access Coalition (MCAC), a multi-program community collaborative in Marquette, Michigan. From his time at MCAC, he brings community development experience in forming, establishing and maintaining community-based healthcare access initiatives. Chris also brings program management experience in administering regional volunteer physician networks, safety net pharmaceutical access systems, managed care programs and volunteer-based primary care clinics. From 2003 to early 2006, he assisted in the expansion of the Upper Peninsula Medical Access Program – Plan C, a volunteer community primary care program that provides healthcare services to the low-income residents of Michigan's 15 northernmost counties.

Before serving in the healthcare access field, Chris served as a university chaplain with the General Council of the Assemblies of God Home Missions Department; he continues to maintain his ministerial license. Chris currently is pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree, and has earned his Master of Healthcare Management from Lindenwood University and Master of Arts from Wheaton College. Chris, his wife Nancy, and daughters Elizabeth Grace and Madeline live in O'Fallon, Missouri.
