 Sister Mary Francis Martin, DC

Sr. Mary Francis Martin, DC, currently serves as a member of the Sponsors Council of Ascension Health and is the Visitatrix for the Northeast Province of the Daughters of Charity.
Sr. Mary Francis began her service as a teacher and director of religious education at schools along the East Coast. She brings experience in the ministry and education to her role. She previously served as Associate Director of the Vincentian Renewal Center in Princeton, N.J., and as Coordinator of the parish-based social advocacy network for the Catholic Charities in the diocese of Ogdensburg, N.Y. In the early 1990s, she served as Director of Campus Ministry at Niagara University, Niagara University, N.Y., and in the 1980s served as Education Councillor, Provincial Administration for the Daughters of Charity.
She received her master’s degree in religious education from Boston College, and her bachelor’s degree in education from St. Joseph’s College in Emmitsburg, Md. She has done post-graduate studies in spirituality and is a certified spiritual director.
Sr. Mary Francis has held several board positions at a number of Ascension Health Ministries and at Laboure Junior College, Boston.
