Chief Executive Officer of St. Agnes Healthcare, Baltimore

Bonnie Phipps is the President and Chief Executive Officer of St. Agnes Healthcare in Baltimore, and serves as the Baltimore/DC Ministry Market Leader for Ascension Health. She provides strategic and operational leadership for St. Agnes Healthcare while promoting alignment among Health Ministries within the Baltimore/DC market and with the System office on issues related to Mission and Vision. In addition, Ms. Phipps will share accountability for strategic positioning and operational performance of the Health Ministries in her market, which are St. Agnes Healthcare and Providence Hospital, Washington. D.C.

Ms. Phipps has extensive healthcare executive experience. Prior to joining St. Agnes in January 2006, she served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Saint Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta. She also served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of PROMINA Health System and as the Chief Financial Officer at DeKalb Medical Center and Egleston Children's Hospital, also in Atlanta.

Ms. Phipps holds a bachelor's degree in business administration, summa cum laude, from Georgia State University, and a master's degree in professional accountancy, also from Georgia State University. She is a certified public accountant, certified managed care professional and a fellow in the Healthcare Financing Management Association (HFMA). She served as National Chairman of HFMA in 1992 to 1993, and received the Morgan Award, the highest award given by the HFMA, for individual contributions to the industry in 1996.

Ms. Phipps serves on multiple boards and has been a faculty member on several national programs. She was inducted into the Georgia State University Business Hall of Fame in 2005.
