William "Bill" C. Finlayson, LFACHE

William "Bill" C. Finlayson, LFACHE, is a member of the Ascension Health Board of Trustees. Currently retired, Mr. Finlayson devotes his time to his parish and volunteer activities in the Tucson, Ariz., area.

Mr. Finlayson earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, and a Master of Science in Hospital Administration from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas.

Mr. Finlayson has a long history of executive experience in Catholic healthcare. He most recently served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Carondelet Health Network, Tucson, Ariz., from 2000 - 2003. He also served as the President and Chief Executive Officer at Santa Rosa Health Care, San Antonio, Texas; O'Connor Hospital, San Jose, Calif.; and DePaul Health Services, St. Francis Medical Center, Lynwood, Calif.; and he served as a Senior Vice President/Administrator and Assistant Administrator at Seton Medical Center, Daly City, Calif.

His many professional affiliations have included Catholic Healthcare Association, California Association of Catholic Hospitals, Hospital Conference of Santa Clara County, Hospital Council of Southern California, Hospital Home Health Care Agency. He is a Life Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Mr. Finlayson has published several articles related to service to the poor and fiscal solvency.
