Sister Theresa Peck, DC

Sister Theresa Peck, DC, is a member of the Ascension Health Board of Trustees. Sister Theresa serves as Provincial Councilor, Councilor for Health, and Treasurer, Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent dePaul, Evansville, Ind.

Sister Theresa earned her registered nurse diploma from St. Mary's Hospital, Milwaukee. She went on to receive her bachelor's degree in nursing at Marillac College, Normandy, Mo.; a master’s of business administration from The George Washington University, Washington, D.C.

From 1955 to 1967, Sister Theresa served in various nursing positions with increasing responsibilities in Wisconsin, Texas and California. After receiving her graduate degree she went on to become Assistant Administrator at St. Joseph Hospital, Chicago, from 1969 to 1971. Next, Sister Theresa served as CEO at Seton Home Health Services, London, Ky., St. Joseph Hospital, Alton, Ill., Administrator at St. Mary's Medical Center, Evansville, Ind. It was following this position that Sister Theresa became President and Chief Executive Officer at St. Vincent Hospital and Health Care Center, Inc., Indianapolis, from 1978 to 1986, and then President of the Daughters of Charity Health System, Inc., St. Louis, from 1986 to 1987.

Sister Theresa took the position of Executive Vice President of the newly formed Daughters of Charity National Health System in 1986 and served in this capacity until 1993. She held the position of President and CEO for St. Joseph Health Centers and Hospital, Chicago. She served as President and CEO of Catholic Health Partners, Chicago, from 1995 until 1999, when she became a member of the East Central Province leadership team.

Sister Theresa has served on various committees, councils, and task forces throughout her career. These memberships include: Government Affairs Committee, Physician/Hospital Institute Advisory Board, Nominations Committee of the Catholic Health Association; Committee on Government Relations, Catholic Health Association; and the Health Care Committee of the Indiana State Chamber of Commerce, LCWR, NATRI and LRCR.

Sister Theresa has extensive governance experience. Since 1969, she has held over 30 board positions either as a member or officer. Some of her past board memberships include: Illinois Hospital & Health Systems Association, Naperville, Ill.; Columbia/St. Mary's Inc., Milwaukee; Horizon Hospice, Chicago; Member, Sisters of Charity Health System, Houston; Diversified Health Search, Inc., Philadelphia; Daughters of Charity Health Systems, Inc., St. Louis; Founding Member and Chairman, Health Plus HMO, Indianapolis; Sagamore Health Network, Indianapolis; Indiana State Chamber of Commerce, Indianapolis; Meridian Insurance Company, Indianapolis; St. Thomas Hospital, Nashville, Tenn.; American Fletcher National Bank and Trust Company and American Fletcher Corporation, Indianapolis; Marquette Manor, Indianapolis; Visiting Nurse Home Care Association, Indianapolis; and St. Vincent Hospital and Health Care Center, Indianapolis.
